Shree Rama Kshetra

 Shree Rama Kshetra is a religious site located in Nepal. It is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism. The site holds great religious significance for Hindus, and it attracts thousands of pilgrims and tourists every year.


Shree Rama Kshetra is situated in Janakpur, a city in the Dhanusha district of Nepal. It is believed that Janakpur was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Mithila, where Lord Rama's wife, Sita, was born and raised. According to Hindu mythology, Sita's father, King Janak, had found a baby girl while ploughing the fields. This baby girl was Sita, who later became the wife of Lord Rama.


The main attraction at Shree Rama Kshetra is the Janaki Mandir or the Janakpur Temple. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Sita and is considered one of the most important religious sites in Nepal. The most famous festival celebrated here is the Vivah Panchami festival, which marks the marriage of Lord Rama and Sita. During this festival, a grand procession is held, and the wedding ceremony is reenacted with great enthusiasm.
